The CGTP course consists of 12 modules, each of which focuses on a different area of government travel. To view a complete syllabus, click HERE.
Each section takes anywhere from 1 to 1.5 hours to complete. We originally ran the courses during a six week period. Because most students have other professional duties, we have since extended the suggested course completion time out to 12 weeks, though technically there is no time limit on how long a student can take to complete the course.
Each of the 12 sections has a quiz. Most of the quizzes have 30 questions, and a score of 22 out of 30 or greater on all quizzes is required. Quizzes may be taken an infinite number of times.
There is no final exam.
In addition to the quizzes, each stidemt will be required to make one posting per week (250 words) to this site on a topic of their choice. These assignments are relatively easy as most people write dozens of longer e-mails in a typical working day. Our goal is to leverage students’ knowledge about specific industry areas for the benefit of all.
In the final step towards certification, students are also required to submit a longer white-paper (750 words) which will focus on one aspect of the course material, suggestions for industry innovations or changes, or personal experience with one aspect of government travel.
The course is designed to be self-paced with instructor assistance available by e-mail or phone.
